Contribute to Citizens for Better SchoolsWhat Will the Money Be Used For?No one in our organization is paid; we are all volunteers. However, many of our projects have costs associated with them, including such things as materials, printing costs, newspaper advertisement costs, and mailing costs. We want to provide the community with the information that they want, but to do so does take money. The Washington Education Association advises that a well-run levy campaign costs on the order of $20,000 dollars. This money comes entirely from donations. Don't You Get Money From the District?Absolutely not. By state law, the district is not allowed to spend your tax dollars to promote its levies and bonds. Therefore, all our money come from non-district donations. How Can I Contribute? You can mail checks made out to Citizens for Better Schools to the following address: Citizens for Better Schools Be sure to include your name and address so that we can send you a receipt and properly document our donations as required by state law. Will My Donation be Tax Deductible?Unfortunately, no. We are a registered Political Action Group (PAC), and donations to PACs are not tax deductible. However, we hope that, as you learn about our mission, our dedication, and our projects, that you will feel that contributing is still worth it for our community. Are There Other Ways I Can Help?Donating money is certainly not the only way to help us out. Please link to the Get Involved page for other ways that you can help. |
